The series opened with the Ranger Life Weekend, a three-day off-road experience run in partnership with Motus Ford Diep River, exclusive to Ford owners. The route began with sand driving and driver training in Lambert's Bay, moved through Vanrhynsdorp and the Tankwa. They then tackled a Grade 3 mountain trail at Johnny se Poort, and covered fast gravel where the Ranger Raptor came into its own, before returning to Cape Town via the historic railway tunnel at De Doorns.
